The day after the ‘great storm’ – which brought New York to a complete halt
The snow began falling on New York at 11 p.m. last night.
On Friday, having taken Ellie out for her usual run in the park, collected the morning free newspapers on Broadway and had breakfast with Debbie while listening to Brian Lehrer on WNYC, Debbie and I went to Madison Square Park.
On Tuesday I finally made it to ‘Wave Hill’ – a beautiful house and grounds at the end of the 1 line at 242nd street.
On Good Friday, Debbie and I tucked in to some of the 18 hot cross buns I brought with me from England
Thursday 2 May, I went to a morning concert with Debbie at the Lincoln Centre.
On Tuesday 7 May I set my alarm for 6.45 so that I could give Alfie a good walk in Riverside Park before I set off for one of the last days of the Frida Kahlo exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum.
Sunday 19th May dawned very hot and stayed that way. Alfie and I ended up going to Governor’s Island
